WWI Corpses on a Country Road
This is a quite staggering fact:
“Crashes kill nearly 1.2 million people worldwide every year and injure millions more.” (Kofi A Annan)
100 years after World War I we have found a new way to mechanically murder and mutilate vast numbers of young people.
Between now and 2018, more people will die a violent death due to motor vehicle accidents than died in combat in the Great War (6.8 million).
They are not dead yet, but they are dying every day. And there’s no sign of an armistice.
